Mrs. Kelly Guy and Mrs. Scarlett Albertson are proof that teachers support their students through any task. Here they are helping ECE (Early Childhood Education) students by babysitting the infant simulators during classes.
Early Childhood Education students have been learning about pregnancy and the ages and stages from birth to middle childhood. This is the first class of the ECE Pathway.
Every student wears a pregnancy simulator belly that weighs about 10 pounds. After that they take home the computer connected infant simulator that they must nurture and care for from the end of the school day until the following morning.
To complete the ECE pathway a student has to pass 3 courses and they receive a certificate of completion. If the students then pass the state assessment NOCTI exam they receive a graduation cord that is silver for CTAE (Career, Technical and Agricultural Education) programs.
