Congratulations Diane!!!!
SGT Trevino M.A. (USMC Recruiter PCS Tifton) presented Irwin County High School's Diane Tucker (Guidance Office) the new "Diane Tucker Award".....
"The Diane Tucker Award" was commissioned May 15th, 2012. The Diane Tucker Award will be awarded to any Liaison/Transition Officer that meet the standards set by the US Marine Corps. One award per year will be given to a school staff member that shows a willingness to aid in the future of any and all students in their high school.
I do not have all my particulars; I am not sure but Diane maybe the only civilian in GA that has an US Marine Corps Award named after her. I am to receive more information from SGT Trevino.
Again, Congratulations to Diane for the many, many hours devoted to helping the students with scholarships and aid.

ICMS/ICHS Nursing Clinic Wins Big

WE WON!!!!!!
ICMS/ICHS School Nurse Clinic was awarded new medical equipment worth over $500 through Cigna Insurance Know Your Numbers Wellness Campaign!!
The first 200 school nurses in Georgia to complete this program at their individual schools by May 18 were awarded a free Clinical Kit for their clinics. (the kit includes: an electronic scale, a BMI calculator, a wheelchair, a scanning thermometer, hand sanitizer dispensers, a penlight, an aneroid and a convenient messenger bag to store most of this equipment - Value is over $500)
Know Your Numbers (A Guide to Understanding Your Health Status and Biometrics) is a Wellness Education and training Campaign from with Cigna Insurance Company to you - delivered to you by your local School Nurse.
This Campaign/program was delivered in the nurse office divided into 3 separate learning sessions. Staff members learned the numbers associated with healthy blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose levels and body mass index (BMI).
12 Staff members signed up and completed the sessions, well in advance of the May 18 deadline, and the nurse rushed in the results to Cigna and won the new equipment.
A big thank you to the following staff members for their participation and help for the School Clinic:

MAKE THE CALL AND STOP VIOLENCE IN YOUR SCHOOL
The 1-877-SAY-STOP toll- free hotline was created by the Georgia Department of Education.
Students can anonymously report anyone who has a weapon, has threatened to bring a weapon to school, or has violated any other school safety rules.
The hotline hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; after 5 p.m. all calls will be forwarded to the GA Bureau of Investigation.
Callers will not be asked to reveal their identities.
